Fixed prices, agreed before we start. Most clients begin here and decide on a plan once they have seen the work. Starter jobs are done remotely where possible; onsite visits more than an hour from Winnipeg add $0.60 per km. Monthly plans never pay for travel.

Bison IT Services was started to give Manitoba businesses the kind of IT and software big companies get, without the big company price. Behind it is more than five years of building custom software and AI tools, and running Microsoft 365, Azure and Active Directory systems in Manitoba workplaces.
We're based in Winnipeg and happy to drive out anywhere within about 3 hours of the city when you need someone in person.
Common questions
How much does managed IT cost?
$75, $110 or $150 per user per month depending on the plan, $20 for staff who don't use a computer (no phone or cell plan included), plus Microsoft 365 licences at Microsoft's price. A business with 6 office staff on Standard and 4 field staff pays $740 a month for our service. Some businesses need a licence upgrade for device management; your quote shows that before you sign.
What does the $20 for crew without a computer cover?
It's for staff like site crews who only check email and Teams on their own phone. We look after their Microsoft 365 account, keep company email and files on the phone secure, reset passwords, and remove the company data if the phone is lost. It isn't a phone plan: no phone or cell service is included, and they keep their current carrier.
Do I have to sign a long contract?
No. Our service is month to month, and you can cancel with 30 days notice. Microsoft sells most licences on yearly terms, so those run to the end of their year; if you'd rather be able to drop licences any month, we can set them up monthly at about 20% more.
What if something urgent breaks during the day?
Call the business line and you'll reach me directly. If I can't pick up, you get a callback the same business day, and if someone needs to be there in person we book the visit on that call.
Which areas do you cover?
Winnipeg and every town and city within about 3 hours, including Steinbach, Selkirk, Portage la Prairie, Winkler and Brandon, for onsite work. Remote support anywhere in Manitoba.
Can you work alongside our own IT person?
Yes. Co-managed support backs up your in-house person for busy weeks, vacations and bigger projects.
Is our data safe with AI tools?
We set up business accounts you control, turn off training on your data where the tool allows it, and give staff a clear policy on what can and can't go into AI.
What happens if something breaks after hours?
Call the same business number. After hours help is best effort, billed at $175 per hour with a 1 hour minimum, and we respond as quickly as we can.
